Hermit Cookies

From the kitchen of Lucy Bardessono (Noni)

Ingredients 

1/2 cup butter 

1/2 cup sugar

1/2 cup molasses

2 eggs

2 cups flour 

1/2 tsp salt

1/4 tsp soda

2 tsp baking powder

1 tsp cinnamon 

1/2 tsp cloves 

1/4 tsp mace and nutmeg 

1/8 tsp allspice 

3/4 cups raisins 

1/4 cup chopped walnuts 

Glaze:

3/4 cup powder sugar 

4 tsp water 

Prepare a 12x8x2 inch pan by greasing bottom and sides. Pour in batter into pan and spread evenly. 

Bake at 360 degrees for 30 minutes.  Spread the glaze while still warm m
